Questions or Commentary
Please note that I reserve the right to post any and all infomation you send me on my journal. What this means is that I may use any issues you raise in your email to me as a general starting point for an article, or I may address your points specifically. I DO reserve the right to post your email address, name, IP address, and any other personal information you provide. This is a safety measure. It is my policy to preserve the anonymity of anyone emailing me, unless they’re being extremely rude, assinine, or inappropriate…in which case, I can and will post the full content of what you send me, including your email address and any of the above idenitfiers. I do not believe in protecting the anonymity of abusers, stalkers, harrassers, or trolls. If you’re not being rude, assinine, or inappropriate, you have nothing to worry about.
Using My Articles and Entries
If you wish to use one of my articles or entries on your site or publication, please contact me for permission first. I will almost ALWAYS grant permission, however, I will also almost ALWAYS require full publication of the entire article. If you are under a deadline and need to publish before I get back to you, you MUST post the FULL article, not an excerpt. I have had problems in the past with web sites posting only a selection of my article with a lead-in by an unknown person, and thus took my writing completely out of context. If I ask you to remove the article, you must do so immediately.
If you are quoting an entry or article of mine within your own article or entry – in other words, as part of a whole, rather than as a standalone feature – feel free to do so as long as I am properly cited and credited and the extent of the quote is made clear. The most professional bloggers on the ’sphere usually do this tremedously well, so I have no problem with it.
Linking
Feel free to link to my site as much as you wish. I do not participate in link exchanges. If I am linking to something, it’s because I like it and it’s worthwhile, not because it’s a friend’s site or someone who linked to me.
